A Record of Undying – Late Opening & Performance
Drop in at Vivid Projects on Friday 07 November for a double presentation as part of Digbeth First Friday.
A Record of Undying is a groundbreaking exhibition by George Saxon and D. John Briscoe (1949 – 2013) exploring the last taboo: death & dying. This profound and powerful experience is an unflinchingly personal exploration of contemporary attitudes to critical illness and bereavement.
At 7pm, George Saxon will perform Blissfully Gunned Down, a live durational 16mm performance which reworks footage of D. John Briscoe’s staged death in 1980, for the final time.
The exhibition continues to Saturday 15 November, open Thursday – Saturday, 12-5pm. Admission is free.
6 – 8pm | Unit 2, Minerva Works
BIKE, CAMERA, ACTION!
Bike Unltd is a new project exploring the creative possibilities of pedal power!
To celebrate the launch, we’ve invited artists and filmmakers for an evening of live demos. Expect mobile projection, roving cameras and cycling fun for Digbeth First Friday.
