Birmingham-based streetwear brand Bene Culture will be presenting ‘SISSOO’ Rachna Johal’s first solo exhibition and invite you to join for the opening night.
Rachna Johal is a Walsall-based artist, currently in her first year at the Slade School of Fine Art.
Within this exhibition ‘SISSOO’ delves into imagined liminal spaces that are imbued with a sense of ambiguity that interrogates the human condition, specifically the lived experiences of South Asian women. Johal focused on the body as a visual motif and landscape of its own aiming to intertwine this with an uncanny presentation of ephemeral actions, gestures, and sensations of everyday domestic life.
