Relics of a Past Future is the final major project by Joseph Tyers on the MA Fine Art at Falmouth University. It is a culminating exhibition of a site-orientated investigation of the Spaghetti Junction and surrounding area. The resulting installation which includes video, sound and collage is a response to spatial interactions and interventions. The project focuses on places of heterotopia, hidden urban areas that exist in a liminal between space operating both in an out of conventional spatial rules. Places where time, history, social and personal narrative can become stratified.
