A projection of Super-8 footage taken in summer 1977 during a mass picket near the Grunwick film processing plant in north-west London, is placed in dialogue with a recording of a 2022 live radio performance by Resident artist Hannah Sawtell; originally broadcast on May 1st 2022, during a Montez Press Radio offsite project in Berlin. In MAYDAY: RADIO RAUM, Sawtell invited fifty collaborators to respond (through sound) to what the word Mayday meant to them. Notable contributors include Mick Lynch, General Secretary of the RMT and Food Not Bombs. The work includes contributions from several artists connected to Vivid Projects including current and former Black Hole Club members.
