Incidental Artists: Doings

6-8pm

Eastside Projects

On a plain light blue background, words write, INCIDENTAL ARTISTS. Below this is a line chart, with various words, in the middle, writing, Doings.

“We dream a lot of the future, sometimes we can feel it coming.”
The Villagers / Sahjan Kooner.

Since 2022 Eastside Projects has been working with Abbas Zahedi, Alice Theobald, Sahjan Kooner, melissandre varin and Verity-Jane Keefe who have responded to the invitation to be an Incidental Artist in five different ways. In Autumn 2024 we begin the process with Marley Starskey Butler and Seema Mattu.

Doings is a first public moment to reflect on the contexts, beginnings, outputs, collaborators, supporters, budgets and next steps in the journeys of each project individually, and collectively.

Accessibility

Eastside Projects is an accessible venue. There are a couple of steps at the door but if you ring the bell or speak to a member of staff we will bring our ramp out. Once you are inside the galleries are on one level, as is the bathroom. Both exhibitions have sound, and in the main gallery this is overlapping and repetitive. You can borrow noise cancelling headphones and popping fidget spinners from staff on the front desk if you need them. Please email or call us if you have any questions.
