Stryx presents the launch of slice, a project devised by – object-maker/collaborator/facilitator – Emma McKinney.

For the launch, and coinciding with April’s Digbeth First Friday, Leeds based artist collective SEIZE have been invited to exhibit in the main gallery space.

slice is a platform; fleeting and fluctuating.

A programme of monthly interventions/exhibitions/displays, the project aims to provide opportunities for emerging artists to share their work with the city of Birmingham. Happening on-top-of | alongside | beneath | between; slice works around Stryx’s existing gallery programme as an exercise in being resourceful, negotiating space and sharing/layering territories. Each month artists will be invited to exhibit work. The space and mechanisms for display will be shifting.

SEIZE come to Birmingham for their first show in the second city. The exhibition brings together the five individual practices of Lily Ackroyd-Willoughby, Sarah-Joy Ford, Daisy Forster, Tom McGinn and Ned Pooler.
