6.30–8pm

The GAP Arts Project is opening a unique civic space in Birmingham with young artists and creatives at its heart. A central, flexible and affordable arts space dedicated to young people’s creativity is much needed and long overdue in the UKs second city.

The GAP will be a cultural learning centre, a ‘gap’ for exploration, collaboration and creative meaning-making. And with an original public offer led and programmed by young people, The GAP will also provide opportunities for the whole community to imagine, learn, test, play and grow – building resilience and community through creativity.

The GAP is opening on May 6 with a reception 6.30pm-8pm. It will include ‘Heart of the Matter’ a young artist collective exhibition, live music, spoken word, craft, and more.

This event is part of DIGBETH FIRST FRIDAY, May 2016. Open to all.
