Grand Union: Love & Solidarity: Exhibition Tour with Kim McAleese and John Heffernan, 6–7pm, gallery open until 8pm.
19 Minerva Works,
Fazeley Street,
B5 5RS

Join Grand Union’s Programme Director Kim McAleese and Humber Street Gallery’s Senior Curator John Heffernan for a tour of Love & Solidarity, an exhibition by artist Jamie Crewe. The exhibition has been co-commissioned alongside a sister show at Humber Street Gallery, Hull titled Solidarity & Love.

Taking inspiration from Radclyffe Hall’s novel The Well of Loneliness (1928), the exhibitions address the provocations of the book, which has had a lasting impact on generations of queer, lesbian, and transgender people.
Through a combination of video, sculpture and text, Crewe touches on themes of heartbreak, experiences of transphobia, LGBT solidarity and conflict.
