City Garden Project will act as an opportunity to create research & artwork around the themes of ongoing changes in Birmingham city centre, particularly Digbeth and discover how these changes affect artists, artist run and community spaces existing and thriving in the area & their audiences / customers.

This project is to raise awareness of the importance of green spaces in the city with particular emphasis on the gallery’s role in linking /reconnecting the public with nature, by production of artist performances focused around the act of growing, cultivation, bonsai, watering and harvesting opening the opportunity for discussions on our changing attitudes to green spaces in developing cities.
