The Garden of Earthly Delights is a painting is by Royal College of Art graduate Claire Douglass and was started in East London in 2011 and completed 7 years later in Birmingham.
The intervening years saw the work progress into a contemporary representation of Britain at play. Featuring partying celebrities, Wolves winning the FA Cup, Lady Gaga with her little monsters, and a parade of adult babies amongst the 400 tiny figures depicted.
It is both a work of joyous hedonism and a memento mori for an unsustainable culture, depending on your starting point.
