Grand Union is a gallery and artist studios in Digbeth. Grand Union supports and presents innovative artistic and curatorial practice. We believe that a strong artistic community is an essential part of an integrated city.

You are invited to celebrate the ‘In The Pink’ launch party at Grand Union including DJS, Jeanie Crystal and DJ Forgets, a performance by Olivia Sparrow, and video by Jeffrey Hinton.

In The Pink was a free LGBT+ newspaper (1986-1990) published monthly at the Trade Union Resource Centre in Digbeth and distributed to groups, pubs, and clubs around the West Midlands.

SHOUT Artist in Residence Sean Burns has edited a new issue of the paper, referencing the original formatting and commissioning a new collective of voices to reflect on Birmingham in the 1980s, discuss personal and collective histories and address some of the matters facing LGBT+ people in the region today.
